This is how it all began.
Jacqueline Ruedin Rüsch started the company back in 2011, formerly known as Privilège Management. After having spent over 15 years in the banking sectors she decided to go on her own. It was of utmost importance for her to put her clients back to the center and provide them all the attention they deserved while offering a personalized service.
She grew and developed the wealth management activity for over 10 years serving both individuals and families. While growing and developing the business she frequently asked herself not only how to best serve her clients but also how to offer the best investment opportunities allowing both diversification and capital growth. She spent a couple of years wondering how best she could provide the above while being innovative and different from the others.
While exploring the different alternative in private capital market she decided that venture capital was definitely the way she wanted to go and seed stage was what interested her most. She understood the big potential that an allocation in venture capital could represent in a portfolio. While still looking around on how best to implement her willingness to offer such exposure to her clients she came to the conclusion that the best solution would have been to develop it internally.
With her strong understanding of the fund business and investment she had to learn more about how venture capital worked. She traveled around Europe attending several conferences, vividly read several books on the subject, attended courses and classes online and in person to learn fast and from the best. She also understood that her weakness at that stage was the ability to scout and build a strong deal flow. For this reason, she partnered with a couple of experts to help her build and increase the deal flow. As such she launched her first VC fund in June 2016 thanks to some of her private clients who trusted her and who saw the potential of this opportunity. The way she decided to build this fund was to provide an easy access to investors even with smaller amount of money than traditionally needed. And that is how her journey in VC started.
Since then, her passion in venture capital grew significantly. A few years later Privilège Ventures, which initially was just the brand used within her company, was created together with a co-founder, Lucian Wagner, who she met through a female founder who was backed by him.
As her activity progressively moved more and more into venture capital she decided to alt the wealth management activity in 2022 and rebranding her company as we know it today: JRR Solutions.
